New Assignment

Mission: Coming Aboard

OFF:

I have a mission up. Post your characters coming aboard and getting settled. Next week I'll post us getting underway with a shake down cruise. But for now just post reporting to the ship, your departments and the like.

ON:

Mystery had received word she had been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander and that she'd been reassigned to the USS Independence at her first officer. She'd worked long and hard for this chance. Her belongings had been sent ahead of her to the ship.

Mystery had taken a transport out to where the ship was located.

"Commander," the pilot called "The ship is on sensors now we'll be arriving in a few minutes."

Getting up from her seat Mystery shouldered her duffel and walked to the front of the transport and watched at the Independence came into view. The contrast of the lights against the blackness of space, between the ship and space dock was a sight.

Smiling Mystery walked to the transporter "Beam me over please," she instructed when the pilot walked over.

"It was a pleasure commander," he said as he worked the controls.

The transport ship faded and the transporter room of the Independence showed once she materialized. Stepping off the transporter Mystery walked over to the officer and handed him her transfer orders.

Taking them he looked at her orders and snapped to attention "Welcome aboard commander,"

"Thank you," taking the PADD back Mystery headed out and found her quarters. After changing into a fresh uniform she headed for the bridge to check in there and get a feel for things.
