| Personal History | Born June 7th, 2350 in Estes Park, Colorado. Oldest of 5 children. He is amongst the latest in a long line of Gillespies to serve in Starfleet since the Four Years War. Growing up, he always waited for his father to come home. Accustomed to living at shore facilities, Chuck learned much about the workings of Starfleet and the intricacies of interstellar navigation. Entered the Academy at 18 and graduated in the top 10% of his class. He was a member of Nova Squadron and distinguished himself with his piloting skills. However, he was always suspicious that high-ranking family members pulled strings to get him in the squadron. He served during the Dominion War, which led developing his talents in Strategic Operations. Unfortunately, he also lost his father and fiance' when the USS Ticonderoga was lost at the Battle of Cardassia in 2375. He majored in astrophysics at the Academy and completed his Master's Thesis on the effect of cosmological phenomena on FTL navigation. |
