Mystery after catching up on paperwork and sending a report to headquarters with a copy to the captain, got to her feet and walked to the replicator in her office and ordered a large Mango Iced Tea. When it appeared she picked it up and took a sip. Smiling Ellis was just about to return to her desk when she received a message from the bridge. Tapping her com-badge “Go ahead,”

“Sorry to disturb you commander but we’re in sensor range of the star base,” came the reply from communications.

“I’ll be right out,” Mystery said walking onto the bridge and taking her seat, “All stop, science launch a probe. I want to see what is out there, do a full sensor sweep. Send a probe into that solar system as well.”

“Commander there is no one on the station, all systems are functioning but no one is aboard,” science reported.

Tapping her com-badge “Lieutenant Lance take a security detail over to the star base, see what you can uncover. Science reports no one aboard. Check it out and report back to me. Lieutenant Covitchka I want you to go along, check out the computers and find the captains logs. There has to be answers. When you’ve finished with the base check out the ships.”
