Timeline: Various

Off:

Tying up some loose ends...

On:

[[Sickbay Immediately Following the Briefing]]

As soon as the doctor materialized in Sickbay, the antihistamine Crewman Jefferson had jammed into him started to take effect. He could feel his blood pressure returning to normal, and the swelling that had started in his esophagus start to recede. Still, Nurse Grimm made an epic fuss over him, and Feyd couldn't help enjoy it...just a little.

Shellfish...who'd have thunk it? He supposed that the opportunities he had had over his lifetime to be exposed to shellfish were few and far between. Plus, replicators automatically filtered out such allergens so he would have had to been exposed to real, live shellfish, and the likelihood of that was even more remote.

Feyd leaned back in the biobed with his hands behind his head contemplating life, and watching Nurse Grimm bustle about. He sighed contentedly.

[[Starbase Security Offices]]

Feyd's hands were shaking out of anger as the Starbase Security Officer peppered him with questions. Who was he, what was he doing on the Starbase, what happened, why did he kill two Klingons...

He looked at the Starbase JAG officer, who was busy fiddling with his Padd. "Look, is there security footage?" He said angrily, "It clearly shows we were acting in Self Defense. One of my Crewmates was stabbed. If I hadn't cauterized the would he would have bled out."

"Self Defense or no," replied the Starbase Chief of Security "You're a Starfleet Officer. You are expected to respond with appropriate force."

"He plunged a dagger into my Friend!" Feyd shouted.

The JAG Officer, finally stirred by Feyd's anger, stood up. "Look, General Order 37 states that a Starfleet Officer may respond to force with equal force in order to defend himself. Given that one of his crewmates was stabbed with a Klingon knife, meant to kill, as evidenced by the security footage, the Lieutenant Commander's response was well within the law. Now we could drag this out, have a court martial, and spend lots of resources, or you could admit that you overstepped your authority by detaining him, despite having evidence he acted in Self Defense. I should add, that there is a very unhappy redhead out there waiting for you to release her Chief Medical Officer, and that she is very...persuasive."

The CoS looked through the transparent aluminum window in his office at Commander Ellis, who stood there with a stone-faced expression, her arms crossed, and sighed.

"Fine. You're free to go Lieutenant Commander Relor. But the next time you're on my Starbase, you won't be setting foot here without a full Security escort."

Feyd stood up disgustedly and said. "Well I better, evidently your Security can't seem to keep track of a couple of murderous Klingons who like to put knives into people.

As Feyd stalked out, he heard the CoS muttering "Wait, did you say he's the CMO?"

Off:

Ok, ready for the mission!
