Welcome To The USS Independence!

The USS Independence, registry number NCC-70401, is an Achilles Class Strategic Heavy Cruiser capable of long range missions with plenty of firepower.

The Sim utilizes traditional, long-form simulation using third person narrative and is set in the Star Trek Prime Universe in the year 2387. Our primary goal is to provide an outlet for creative story telling with a Star Trek theme, with a secondary goal of fostering fun and a sense of community.

We welcome all to join our adventure wherever it may take us as we explore the Universe encountering either friend or foe.

Excellent Star Trek at the 2020 Tournament of Simulations

The USS Independence is a proud member of UCIP, winner of the 2017 Simming Prize

A special thanks to Mystery and a few others on several great years of simming here on the Indy! For those remaining who still plan to leave, please write your character(s) out soon. For those who plan to stay, we'll be announcing a new CO and introducing a few new crewmembers over the next couple weeks.

And don't worry, the CO will not be Lt. Balrog!
