Take A Shot

Jamie made his way through the ship's corridors to Sick Bay to see about a shot to counter the effects from the new Orian female that was coming on board. Heaven knows he had enough on his plate right now and didn't need any more distractions; especially involuntary ones.
The doors slid open to Sick Bay and as Jamie entered he was greeted by the Nurse on duty. "Lieutenant what can I do for you?" the nurse questioned.
"Hi there, I'm Lt O'Connell and I was wondering if you had a shot to counter the effects of Orion females."
"Sure, have a seat on the bio-bed and I'll get the Hypo-Spray" the nurse instructed "I'm sure that I'll be getting a lot of requests for this soon. Might as well beat the rush Lieutenant."
"Ya, that's what I was thinking" Jamie chuckled "No reason waiting until the last minute".
"So did you get a chance to get some R&R on Risa" the nurse inquired.
"Well sort of" Jamie replied.
"What's sort of; if you don't mind my asking"
"Well I met a gorgeous women, got drunk, spent the night with her, and the next morning I could't remember anything past a kiss and a whisper in my ear from the night before."
"Wow, that sounds like quite a night" the nurse retorted.
"What makes matters even worse, I found her the next day and accused her of some pretty awful stuff. Fortunately I had a chance to redeem myself before I returned to the ship." was Jamie's explanation.
" At least you had a chance to make things right between you and this women. Most men would not have bothered" the Nurse said as if from personal experience.
"Looks like your all set Lieutenant; try not to break anymore hearts" the nurse chuckled as she said it.
"Thank-you Nurse" he replied and with that he exited Sick Bay.
On his way to Engineering Jamie thought " Man! I hope I didn't break Kira's heart; I'd never forgive myself if I did".
Jamie stopped for a moment and decided that he better dismiss that thought from his head; it wouldn't do him any good to dwell on something that he wasn't even sure about.......
