The Lieutenant was checking some more of the ship's systems when his Comm went off. "O'Connell here".

"Sir you may want to come to Jefferies Tube 7, for some reason this damn thing won't calibrate properly no matter what I try" said a frustrated Decker.

"On my way" Jamie answered as he grabbed his PADD and clipped it to his belt; as he would need both hands free to navigate the Tube.

"So you can't get this thing to calibrate properly? Let's have a look and see what the problem is" was Jamie's answer as he noticed Decker nodding yes. He activated the PADD and scrolled through to the array's specs and started looking around at various components. "Bloody Hell!" he exclaimed loudly "No wonder you couldn't get this thing to calibrate properly; they installed the wrong damn calibrating unit. Go up to Engineering and replicate a CU97SFA while I remove this one. By the time you return I should have this one off."

"Aye Sir, I'll be back soon" Decker said as he turned and made his way back to Engineering.

By the time that Crewman Decker returned Jamie had the useless unit removed and was ready for the correct one.

"Here you are Sir" as Decker handed the new unit to Jamie.

"Thanks. I can install this and re-calibrate the array myself. Take Crewman Johnson with you and I want every array's calibrating unit checked for the proper one. All the specs should be on your PADD. If they are not right, then I want everyone of them changed to the correct unit. Just let me know first so that I can inform the Bridge" was Jamie's orders.

"Aye Lieutenant" was Decker's response "Decker to Crewman Johnson meet me in Main Engineering right away, we have some work to do."

After about twenty minutes O'Connell had the new unit installed and ready to go. "Ok, now let's see what happens" was his thought. After another ten minutes he had the array re-calibrated 'dead-nuts-on'; as he liked to put it. "Now that's much better" and with that thought he proceeded to collect his tools and made his way back to Engineering.

When Jamie returned to Engineering the first thing that he did was to inform Lt. Lance. "Engineering to Lt. Lance".

"Go ahead" was the Lieutenants reply.

"I found the hardware problem with the array. It had the wrong calibrating unit installed when the Ship was built; but it's been fixed. Also I'm having my team check every array on the Independence to make sure that they have the correct calibrating units installed." Jamie replied.

"Good. I wondered why the array's hardware wasn't functioning properly" LT Lance said with a sound of relief in his voice.

After a couple more hours Jamie's team gave him an update. "Decker to Lt. O'Connell".

"O'Connell here" was his reply.

"We've checked all of the arrays on the Ship and they all have the correct calibrating units installed" Crewman Decker said with much relief in his voice.

"Excellent, well done. Return to Engineering before something else breaks on this Ship." Jamie instructed.
