Not the Lobes

Mission: Coming Aboard

Kevin peered through the haze as the fans of starbase's environmental control systems removed the halon gas from the Diplomat's Atrium. He could see no enemies standing but could hear a low moan coming from across the room.

"Fan out," he ordered and along with the security detail he move forward into the room, his phaser rifle in position to shoot should he come across a threat.
The fans were quickly clearing the halon from the room as the team crossed. Kevin found two Ferengi knocked to the deck, unconscious. M'Bunta had a third at phaser point, the Ferengi's arms raised in surrender.

"Not the Lobes! NOT THE LOBES!!!" a fourth Ferengi cried as Jenkins hauled him to his feet.
Out of the corner of his eye, Kevin saw Feyd sling the phaser rifle and move toward an unconscious Ferengi. Kevin mentally nodded his approval. Most doctor's would have discarded the weapon as they shifted to medic mode.

Satisfied that the area was clear, Kevin lowered his phaser rifle. "Gunny Drake?" he called out.
"Sir?" was the replied from the other side of the shipping containers.

"We are secure on this side," Kevin told Drake, "You can stand down."

"Aye, aye sir. I have reported to base security. Medical and security are enroute."

"Roger", replied Kevin. He turned his attention to the shipping containers. Jenkins had his head turned to one side, trying to read the shipping label. Kevin shook his head slightly as he pulled out his PADD. Taking a picture of the shipping label, he inverted the image.

"Is Thomas Jefferson one of our crew members?" Kevin asked?

"Yes," replied Jenkins, "He's our ship's chef."

"Well, you can tell him we found his Drexel Pods." Whatever those are, Kevin mentally added.
Jenkins used his ship's communicator to give the all clear to allow ship's personnel to enter the starbase.

Kevin cocked his head slightly to the right. "Does anybody else hear knocking?"
