Back In Command

Mystery after a lot of thought and a long discussion with Cyndi had decided to return to the Independence as her captain. While the promotion was nice Mystery knew she’d not be happy on a star base. She belonged in space, returning to the ship she dropped her duffel off in her quarters and was glad to see the rest of her things had been beamed back aboard. There were things that needed her attention. The ship was in dock for repairs and resupply. There was the lack of a first officer something she needed to remedy, and soon, before they pulled out.

After changing into a fresh uniform Mystery headed for the bridge and to the calls of captain on the bridge. There were double takes when she stepped onto the bridge but everyone returned to his or her tasks. Her yeoman handed her several PADDS and a welcome back. “Please bring me the senior staff’s personal files,”

Nodding the yeoman walked off and returned a few minutes later with the requested files, thanking her Mystery took her seat at command and began to go over the personal files. There was one name that stuck out and that was going to be her first officer she’d meet with him later and offer him the position and the promotion.

It felt good to be back where she belonged, picking up the first PADD Mystery set to work going over the information on it.
