Lounge time equals downtime

Posted on Fri Oct 22nd, 2021 @ 4:35pm by Lieutenant Ken Kudo & Lieutenant JG Billi & Lieutenant JG Kehlani

Mission: Settlers
Location: USS Independence
Timeline: current

ON:

Ken Kudo, a man who loved to play music and sing, came into the crew lounge carrying his acoustic guitar. Going to the stage in the corner, which was actually just a four inch step-up, he set up a mic stand with a standing and a mic for guitar.

Kehlani had seen Kudo enter, wearing her personal armor once more, with her hood thrown back. Her long blonde locks looked like a golden waterfall over her shoulders and cascading down her body. Of course, as per regs, she had on her combadge and pips, displayed openly on her 'uniform' (main bio pic). So, Kehlani had put her pips for Lt. (jg) on her leather armor right over her right breast. Her combadge occupied a the left portion of uniform, directly across and even with rank, thus on her left breast. As a Klingon female it was expected to show off breasts and cleavage, daring any male to dishonor them with trash talk. For Kay, though, it was more for the humor of it. As she walked down corridors every crew member would have to look at her boobs to designate rank and Starfleet affiliation. The way most humans blushed was so damn funny, and ridiculous, in her opinion.

Billi entered the lounge, back in her fatigues with black and grey camo, without her equipment belt. Seeing Kehlani she made her way over and sat down after a quick hug. "Hi, doll. Just got off duty, long day." She used her head to motion stage-ward. "What's with that?"

Kehlani gave a shrug. "He hasn't said anything yet."

"Oh," said Billi getting a Guinness and spinning to watch.

Ken got ready, guitar set as he approached the mic. "Hope you guys don't mind a little Gordon Lightfoot. To the Indy; we bust our asses for the masses."

As the song began Billi took Kehlani's hand and pulled her out to an open area in front of Kudo, Sundown being a very sexy and languid song. The two Cipher Agents danced provocatively, but it was both conservative and classy, so as not to offend the room, but to compliment Ken's choice of song.

"Sundown"

{OA: Gordon Lightfoot}

I can see her lying back in her satin dress
In a room where you do what you don't confess

Sundown, you better take care
If I find you been creeping 'round my back stairs
Sundown, you better take care
If I find you been creeping 'round my back stairs

She's been looking like a queen in a sailor's dream
And she don't always say what she really means

Sometimes I think it's a shame
When I get feeling better when I'm feeling no pain
Sometimes I think it's a shame
When I get feeling better when I'm feeling no pain

I can picture every move that a man could make
Getting lost in her loving is your first mistake

Sundown, you better take care
If I find you been creeping 'round my back stairs
Sometimes I think it's a sin
When I feel like I'm winning when I'm losing again

I can see her looking fast in her faded jeans
She's a hard loving woman, got me feeling mean

Sometimes I think it's a shame
When I get feeling better when I'm feeling no pain
Sundown, you better take care
If I find you been creeping 'round my back stairs
Sundown, you better take care
If I find you been creeping 'round my back stairs
Sometimes I think it's a sin
When I feel like I'm winning when I'm losing again

Billi and Kehlani came in from both sides, hugging Kudo and kissing his cheeks as her wrapped an arm around each. "Put the guitar down and come have a drink." The crowd heard that from Billi and chuckled, so Ken did just that. Kudo was put in the middle (on purpose/auto-pilot for The Raptors).
