As Feyd and Natasha waited for the cure to replicate, the doctor spent some time going over the genome of the cure one more time. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you looked at it, he noticed an anomaly.

Natasha squinted at him, reading the expression on his face through the faceplate on his environmental suit. "What's wrong?" She asked.

"This cure will work against the infected, but it will be toxic to anyone not infected. We'll be safe in our environmental suits, but if anyone managed to hide and prevent being infected, they'll be killed."

"Do you think that's likely?" She replied.

"No, but it's a risk. Unfortunately, it's one we'll have to take." He packed up the cure in a canister, and they headed to Engineering. As they approached, they heard the sounds of phaser fire.

The Science Officer at the Sensor station on the bridge frowned, then pressed a few buttons on the LCARS. "Sir," he stated, "I'm picking up two vessels on long range scanners. We're being hailed."

"On screen." Ellis replied.

The image of a Klingon appeared, a jaunty eye patch covering what one presumed would have been the unfortunate result of a tragic accident.

"This is Captain Kor of the ISS Pata'Q. We understand that this system has been infected by a dangerous virus, which cannot be allowed to spread. We are here to eradicate it, and anyone or anything it has infected. You will stand down and allow us to do so."

Off:

Uh oh, things just got complicated! I'm expecting the Klingons to try and destroy the Starbase and Ships, regardless of who is on board. Tagsies to folks on the ship!
