Away team gathering

Silk, dressed in his away gear, stood in transporter room three, awaiting the rest of the away team. He began to talk casually with the young female Operations officer running the console, her blushing cheeks and eyes showing she was both flattered and interested. Bowing out of that politely, with a wink, he then walked back toward the transporter pad, still waiting on Miles, Lance, the CMO, Curillo, O'Connell and Balrog. Balrog? Sean was curious where that name came from, aside from Middle Earth.

Balrog entered and a took a big gulp as beads of sweat formed on his brow.

Ensign Billi came in, looking from the transporter operator to the XO. "Ah, Commander Silk. Just wanted to make sure you had all the Intel data for this sector. Here you are, Sir." She handed a palm PADD over to him, which he copied to his and then handed hers back.

"Thank you, Ensign Billi." He read while waiting, his eyes not missing her still standing there out of the corner of his eye. Thinking on things a moment he then tapped his badge. "Silk to Captain Ellis."

Mystery walked into the transporter room just as Silk's call to her came in. "What can I do for you commander?"

Lieutenant Lance, fully kitted out for an away team mission, followed Captain Ellis into the transporter room. He looked at the ship's two senior officers expectantly.

Lucas arrived to the transporter room geared up for the mission. He nodded to the gathered officers and stood off to the corner. Being the most junior officer in the room, he figured it was better to be out of the centre of attention.

Before arriving, he had exchanged a few words with the Chief Flight Control Officer and he knew that the full compliment of the ship's shuttlecraft were being prepped to assist in evacuating the freighter, should it come to that.

After Jamie had waited in transporter room one for awhile, he realized that some of the others should have been there by now. He gathered up his test equipment and left the transporter room and made his way down the corridor when he heard voices coming from transporter room three. Jamie walked into transporter room three, geared up for the away mission, as he nodded to his fellow Officers. Now that he was in the right place, all that was left to do was to wait to be beamed over to the other ship.

Balrog continued to struggle with his gear in the back corner of the room. He had put on a few pounds since the last away mission.

Lt Ares Curillo arrived and nodded to his peers. Preparing the most updated tricorder settings he felt confident that he was equipped for this away mission. " Science is ready Commander Silk." Ares reported.


"Since we can't raise them, we have no idea if anyone is alive over there or what your going into. We'll have a transporter lock on you at all times. Stay in touch with the ship," Mystery said "Find out what is going on over there,"
