Thomas was in the kitchen working on a new recipe when he discovered he was out of an active Blivarian Yeast culture. Hoping that the bio lab might have some he headed off to the lab figuring getting out of the kitchen would be good.

Stepping into the lab he looks at the sleeve of the lab tech sitting at his station and says "good afternoon Lieutenant, I'm hoping that you have a yeast culture that I need.

The Lieutenant, engrossed in the work he is doing waves Thomas over to an incubation unit across the room.

Stepping over to the incubator and running an inventory, Thomas finds himself disappointed that what he needs is not there. Turning on his heal he heads back to the door, first stopping for a moment out of curiosity to see what the Lieutenant is working on. Concern immediately shows on his face and he feels the need to speak out. Tapping the Lieutenant on the shoulder "Since when does Starfleet experiment with bio weapons?"

The Lieutenant jumps at the touch and tone of the words and turns towards Thomas "I'm sorry Sir, what are you talking about?"

Thomas frowns at the Lieutenant and reaches past him to tap the screen "That right there"

"That" replies the Lieutenant "Is the cure that Dr Reylor developed to release into the station to fix the infected personnel"

Thomas shrugs, "you might want to tell him to update his will before he does that, he'll be dead before he hits the ground once his cure gets into his lungs" walking out of the bio lab he sets aside the impending death of his new friend and starts trying to decide what he might be able to do to make his desert without the Blivarian Yeast, he will have to spend some time comparing genetic structures of Yeasts to see if he can find something close that might work as a substitute.
