Let's do it!

On:

[[Sickbay]]

Having largely settled in and having already seen his first patient, Feyd looked down the duty roster compared it with crewmen who had already arrived on board. Better get the requisite physicals for all the officers out of the way. He shrugged. No better place to start than the beginning. He tapped his comm badge. "Doctor Relor to Commander Ellis."

Tapping her com-badge =/\= "This is Commander Ellis what can I do for you doctor?" =/\= Mystery asked as she continued reading the reports she'd been handed.

=/\= "I figured today would be a good day for your required physical, before more of the crew came on board and you got truly busy. Can you drop by Sickbay at your convenience?"
=/\=

Mystery wanted to protest as she dreaded the physicals always had and had many times made excuses not to have one done. But this was going to have to be done as with her now being the ship's first officer she needed to set the example. "I'm on my way doctor, I'll be there in a few minutes." setting the PADD's down on her chair and headed for sick bay. Walking in Mystery spotted the CMO and walked over to where he was "I'm commander Ellis." she said offering her hand.

"Doctor Relor," he replied, and indicated that she hop up on the bio bed. He grabbed a medical tricorder and began running it up and down. "Any personal or family medical history not in your file?" He noted the button-like decoration on her forehead but said nothing. He had made sure his tricorder was calibrated to compensate for the uniqueness of the Risan physiology. He did note the look in her eye, a hard look that spoke of a certain mettle people only gained when they went through difficult times. He knew because he was such a person.

Mystery took the seat on the bio-bed "Nothing out of the ordinary," Mystery replied "I'm not big on physicals due to a doctor I had run one when I was on my cadet cruise that I've managed to avoid them because of it."

"Yikes," he said, glancing at the readout on the tricorder, "What'd he do, a surprise amputation?" He chucked at his own joke. "Since you don't appear to be missing any limbs, you seem to be in perfect health. I'll mark your requisite physical as completed."

"Let's just say he was anything less than professional," Mystery replied "And no it was nothing sexual, he just made it so uncomfortable that I've hated physicals ever since. I am glad to know everything is good here."

"Yep, all set." He said. Suddenly, and without warning, the entire Sickbay...bucked. Feyd was tossed unceremoniously to the deck...hard. That's when the alarm klaxons started going off.

"What the hell! We're in space dock!" Mystery exclaimed as she jumped off the bio-bed, she'd grabbed the edge of the bed, kneeling next to the CMO "Are you okay? Let me help you up." tapping her com-badge "This Commander Ellis what just happened!"

Feyd took her hand and regained his feet. =/\= "Unknown, Commander. One moment, I'm getting a hail from the Starbase...=/\= Several tense moments went by. =/\= "Sir, it appears a bomb detonated on the docking ring.

"Damage report!" Mystery ordered "I want also to know if the base has suffered any damage and if they need us to assist. Doctor are you okay?"

"Aye sir, right as rain."

=/\= "Minor damage to the docking apparatus. Sir, I'm getting reports from the Starbase that their Security is engaged in a firefight. Permission to send our Security forces to assist?" =/\=

Feyd moved toward a hidden panel in Sickbay and pressed a button. The panel slid aside, revealing a pair of phaser rifles. He looked back at the Commander, who was looking at him with a raised eyebrow. He shrugged. "You never know when you're going to need to lock down Sickbay and retake the ship." He said.

"Permission granted, keep me apprised of things. Make sure the captain is kept in the loop. Lock the ship down, no one is to come aboard without proving they are assigned to this ship," Mystery ordered as she turned to the doctor "Hand me a rifle and I'll assist here on the ship."
